Friday, 2/19/16.   Left the boat at 7 am; picked up Ken and Jackie and arrived at Watermaker Air terminal just before noon to take their 1:00 flight.  Two passengers, with their dog, were going to Georgetown, on Great Exuma, so that is where we all checked in with Customs and Immigration.  After re-boarding the plane, it was a short 15-minute ride to the Staniel Cay airstrip where we were greeted by Tucker Rolle, owner of Compass Cay.  From here we took a short boat ride to Compass Cay, were greeted by a number of friends and acquaintances, loaded up the Kabuto with our luggage and then went up the hill to our residence for the week, the Lilly House.  While Jackie and I unpacked, the guys went back down to the marina to visit.  Once settled, we waked down to join them and to enjoy some World Famous Tucker Burgers for supper.  It was very breezy and a little chilly, but we had a nice walk back up the hill, by flashlight and an early night to bed.

Saturday, 2/20/16.  Jackie woke up not feeling well and decided that she didn’t at to get back out in the wind and brave the rough seas to go to the grocery stores on Staniel Cay, so we gave the guys the shopping list and sent them on their way while we lounged on the front porch.  Tucker told them to take his boat and pick up his water heater at the community dock while they were there.  Now Rick knew he was back home on Compass Cay.

When the fellows returned, they helped install the water heater in Tucker’s home, called the Treehouse.  They got back to the house in time to get ready for us all to go down to the marina for cocktails on Sea Clef with owners Ed and Karen and their guests which included a delicious assortment of cheeses.

Sunday, 2/21/16.  There was no electricity on the cay for most of the day.  An electrician was working on the redundant generators which are the only source of power for the structures and most of the boats at the docks.  In the evening, we enjoyed the well-attended pot luck supper where Rick’s conch fritters and fried grouper bits were a big hit.

Monday, 2/22/16.  Jackie was feeling a little bit better today, so we walked to Hester’s ruins; saw a few orchids growing along the way; and, later took one of the little boats to Rachel’s bubble bath.

Tuesday, 2/23/16.  We tried to take the little boat, which comes with the house rental, to Staniel Cay to buy more groceries but only got on the bank side of the next island, Big Pipe Cay, before all four of us were drenched by splashing waves and decided to return to Compass.  (You wouldn’t want to see a picture of what we looked like when we got back – imagine drowned rats!)
You are suggested to take the blue pill with buy cheap levitra http://mouthsofthesouth.com/locations/page/9/ 3 dosage of 25mg, 50mg and 100mg.

Wednesday, 2/24/16.  We took Tucker’s Albury to Staniel Cay in the morning so that Jackie could go to the clinic.  She has a bad cough and earache and has run out of all of the medicine that she brought with her.  Nurse Karen listened to her chest, took her blood pressure, and looked in her ears.  She told Jackie that her chest was clear and gave her cough medicine, Theraflu, Emergen-C, and eardrops.  She told her to drink plenty of fluids so, after paying the $47 charge, we headed to the Staniel Cay Yacht Club bar for a drink.   Bonnie and Marino came into the Club and the six of us had a nice lunch.

After lunch, we walked to the south stopping by the wholesale liquor store then the blue and pink stores ending at the yellow store, Isles General, where the boat was docked.

Thursday, 2/25/16 – The guys went down to the marina early, then Jackie and I walked down midmorning.  Everyone was waiting for a group of government officials to come by for an inspection of the improvements on the island. Barry asked if we wanted to join him and Sea Clef’s stewardess, Allison, for supper tonight at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club.  I reminded Rick that we had just bought food yesterday to cook for supper tonight and that we had invited Bonnie and Marino for cocktails tonight at 5:30.  Just before the reservation deadline time, mid-afternoon, Rick came up to the house saying Bonnie and Marino wanted to go out for supper, so he got my order and called it in. Jackie and Ken decided to stay home as she is still coughing a lot.  After cocktails, four of us went down to the marina where we got on Sea Clef’s tender with Captain Barry, Allison, and Germal Rolle.  Our meals started with chicken chowder followed by a mixed green salad with sliced pears dressed with a balsamic vinaigrette.  After assorted main courses, including Mahi Mahi, lobster, cracked conch, BBQ ribs, and lamb chops, we had a choice of key lime pie or cheesecake.  Many thanks to Capt. B for our safe ride home in the dark of night (well, there was a full moon) over rough seas.  It seemed like Bonnie thought she was on a ride at Disney World!

Friday, 2/26/16.  Rick discovered, upon arising, that we had no water this morning.  He walked down to the marina and found no water there as well.  Apparently some of the recent electrical work had caused the island’s water maker pump to run backwards.  The water tank is now empty and the various pickup pumps around the island have lost their prime.  Rick and Ken did what they could the rest of the morning to help Germal and Barry correct the problem.  We had another terrific pot luck supper tonight.  This time we ate in the boaters’ grille.  And, yes, Rick made more conch fritters and fish bites.

Saturday, 2/27/16.  We took the Watermaker Air afternoon flight from the Staniel Cay air strip to Ft. Lauderdale and then drove back to Manatee County, Florida.

Then we spent the last two days of February dreaming of the beautiful islands that we saw as we were flying home and thinking about when we can return home again to Compass Cay pictured below (top left).
