My routine for the month of February included volunteering at the elementary school on Monday and Tuesday mornings (except for Presidents Day); choir practice every Tuesday and Wednesday evening; visiting Dad in his rehab center in Ocala every other Thursday;  going out to the new house under construction at least once a week to check on its progress; and going to church each Sunday morning.  I spent more time on the boat taking things off and continuing to get it ready to put on the market for sale.

I received flowers for Valentine’s Day both from my first grade class and from my son, J.P. whose flowers are shown below.

The staff at the rehab center reports that Dad has started eating about 75% of his nutritional needs.  His goal is to eat enough that he can have his feeding tube removed and then move in with me.

JP, Kellie and I had a meeting at the builder’s office with the landscape designer to decide on what plants we want to have around the new house.

I visited director of North River Care Pregnancy Center – made arrangements to start volunteering on Wednesday afternoons starting on February 28th  (Hopefully granddaughter, Vanessa, will join me until she gets a full-time job.)

Another highlight of my month was having lunch with friends (and sisters) Jackie and Ann.

The construction manager reports that electrical, plumbing and HVAC (air conditioning) inspections are complete. Insulation has been completed and exterior stucco completed. Drywall should be installed the first two weeks of March.  We hope to move in around the end of May.  Pictured below is the “in-law suite” taken on the 24th.

On July 28, 2017, Rick lost his battle with mesothelioma.  Since then, I have gone through a number of occasions missing him:  October 13th (our wedding anniversary), several family birthdays, Thanksgiving (many of my family came to keep me company), Christmas (Rick’s brother was with me), and Valentine’s Day.   Now, I have listed the boat, “On The Hook”, on the market for sale.  Please visit the Yacht World site and share this information with any you feel might be interested.  http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1999/Bayliner-4788-Motoryacht-3182282/Riviera-Dunes-Marina-%26amp%3B-Resort/FL/United-States?refSource=standard%20listing#.WpXEzajwbIU

I hope to fly over to Compass Cay this summer accompanied by our son, JP, and Rick’s brother, Edward.
