My routine this month consisted of volunteering two days a week at the elementary school down the block and going to choir practice once a week to prepare to sing with the choir on Sunday mornings.  I visited our friend, Ken Sosville, in the hospital several times as he battles cancer and, numerous other problems, joining his wife, Jackie, for lunch on those days to give her a little break from her constant care of him.  (Ken and Jackie visited with us at Compass Cay several times.)  The first week of January, I saw friends, Steve and Joy Fredrick, just a few days before they returned to Antiqua and their boat Ocean Angel for another six months of island hopping.  I went out to the house under construction at least once a week and saw much progress.  I went to the boat countless times during the month continuing to take things off of it and meeting numerous people who are helping me to get the boatIt’s Located around the front generic levitra hop over to here of a shoulder joint, the strike to this very point could cause the arm to get ineffective. ready to list for sale.  In the second week of January, my granddaughter, Vanessa, got sick and had to have surgery a couple of days later.  (Vanessa spent two summers with us on the boat in the Bahamas.)  She is recovering well at home with her family.  I had an annual checkup with my cardiologist who said he’d see me next year and a trip to Ocala to see Dad continuing on to Ormond Beach to see Rick’s brother, Edward; stopping in Claremont on the way home to visit with college friends, Susan and David Lathbury.  I also had an opportunity to join friends, Bill and Ruth Baker for supper for the first time this year which gave us a nice chance to “catch up.”

Friday, December 1 – Saturday, December 9

Supper with friends, Bill and Ruth at the Riverside Café on Friday.  Brother, Rick, with his wife, Tammy, went to Dad’s place to check out the problem with the electricity and visited Dad on Saturday.  I joined other members of the Palm View First Baptist Church Christmas Choir that evening in singing for an hour at Samoset Baptist Church while folks waited their turn to “Walk through Bethlehem.”

Watched Emma on Sunday (12/3) evening so that JP and Kellie could attend a surprise birthday party for their friend, Travis.  Drove to Ocala to take Dad to the gastroenterologist for a follow-up on his feeding tube replacement Monday.  The doctor said all looked well and he would see him again in six months.  Went to the dentist on Tuesday for my 6-month teeth cleaning and got a good report from him.  Both Tuesday night and Wednesday night I had Christmas cantata rehearsal.  On Thursday morning, I met with a broker to talk about what I needed to do to get the boat on the market to sell and then, in the evening, I attended a memorial service at the funeral home for everyone who had lost a loved one this year.  Did some cleaning on Friday while waiting for a long-time friend to arrive for her weekend visit.  She surprised me with a Christmas cactus and a lovely little Christmas tree.

Sunday, December 10 – Saturday, December 16

Sunday was a big day for me.  After Sunday school and church, my friend and I went to the yacht club for lunch then met J.P. at the boat to help him take a chest freezer off of it.  Their freezer “conked out” after the hurricane.  In the evening, I sang in the Christmas cantata (including two duets).  Monday morning, my friend left when I went to school for my volunteer work.  I took care of business at home the rest of the day.  After school on Tuesday, J.P. and I went out Christmas shopping.  Wednesday afternoon, JP, Kellie and I went to the bank to establish a “household” account for the new home that we will share.  On my way home, I spoke to my friend, Jackie Sosville, on the phone.  She told me that her husband, Ken, was not only suffering from some kind of heart ailment; but also, has a kind of cancer that might require a stem cell replacement.  She asked me if I could take her up to Moffitt Cancer Center before his appointment on January 10th so that she can get familiar with the area.  I didn’t have anything on my schedule for Thursday, so I stayed in my PJs all morning and then did mostly nothing the rest of the day!  Friday morning, I saw   my oncologist for a regular checkup to follow-up on the hysterectomy that I had a year ago September.  She said everything looked good and I could now start coming every 4 months instead of every 3.  Then I picked Jackie up at her house.  We went to lunch and then to see the construction site of my new house.  After that we went to the outlet mall for Jackie to finish up her Christmas shopping.  I called Ruth to see if they wanted to get together for supper and they said yes.  Ken and Jackie were going to join us at the Riverside Café, but she called and said that Ken was too tired to come out.  The drive there and back gave me an opportunity to see some lovely Christmas lights.
Although it was previously thought that causes were exclusively psychological in nature (for example, anxiety or relationship problems could also be a major contributing factor. cialis no prescription find here

On Saturday, I got all of my Christmas presents wrapped and cards ready to deliver to the mailbox at church.  I also sent out a birthday wish to my nephew, Richard, in Tennessee.

Sunday, December 17 through Saturday, December 31, 2017

After Sunday school and church, I worked on two of the knitted Christmas stockings that my mother-in-law had made – one for Emma and one for Kellie.  I walked to school on Monday for my volunteer work and stayed with Emma for about an hour in the evening, while Kellie took her mom out to dinner for her birthday and JP went to a movie with a buddy.  After school on Tuesday, I went to Sarasota to meet with Rick’s Estate Attorney and sign another batch of documents.  I met up with my brother, Bill, Wednesday at Dad’s rehab center. Bill’s family is gathering for Christmas at their place in Palatka.   After a nice visit with Dad, we went to lunch and then split up with him going to do some Christmas shopping and me going to Dad’s place to take clothes out of his closet to bring back to my house.  I had bloodwork done first thing Thursday morning and then drove by the lot.  All of the exterior walls are now up.  Shown below will be my entry with my single-car garage on the right and my kitchenette and bath on the left.

I got my hair trimmed on Friday and received an e-mail from the builder’s accountant informing me that this stage of the construction meant it was time for me to make another 20% payment!  On Saturday, I did a little house cleaning in anticipation of Edward coming over for Christmas.  He called in the early afternoon and said that he was on his way.  After church on Sunday, 12/24, Edward and I went by the boat to pick up some things and check the registration on the EPIRB (Emergency Beacon), then we went by the cemetery so that could see the new plaque on Rick’s stone, and finally, we went out to the construction site so that he could see the progress that had been made since Thanksgiving when he was last here.  On Christmas morning, Monday, we picked up Vanessa and got to JP, Kellie and Emma’s house around 7:30 a.m.  We spent a wonderful Christmas morning with the family opening presents.  As soon as we got everything cleaned up, Kellie’s parents and Uncle Jack came over and everything started again!  When we got back to my place, we dismantled and packed the 10 reindeer that I had in my yard.  After I told Edward that I no longer wanted them he agreed to “adopt” them to add to the deer that he has.  I said goodbye to Edward early Tuesday afternoon as I took off to see my doctor for a checkup.  Wednesday morning I went to the bank and then by the builder’s office before going to JPs to watch Emma while he was setting up a race course for Saturday at a local park.  In the afternoon, we watched FSU win the Independence Bowl which took place in Shreveport, Louisiana, where my father grew up.  The rest of the year was spent resting and taking down Christmas decorations.  JP and I went out to the lot on Friday and were very pleased to see the progress that has been made.  The picture below shows JP and Kellie’s front entrance.  The house is on a corner lot; my entrance faces the other street.
